Every family has a story, and this is where I hope we can bring ours together!
I created this website to gather our family stories into one place. So, whether you’re looking to learn about your family roots or wish to help fill in the missing pieces, this is the place for you.
The central progenitors of the family tree for this site are Nicola & Letizia Memmo – the parents of the first generation of our family to immigrate to the United States. In the mid-late 1950s, their three children: Filomena, Domenico and Lina all left their hometown of Lanciano, Italy and moved to Albany, New York with their spouses. There they established the three main branches of the Nicola & Letizia Memmo family tree:
- The Ferrara Branch: The eldest child, Filomena, married Anthony Ferrara and had four children – Nicolas, Anthony, Thomas & Philip
- The Memmo Branch: The middle child, Domenico, married Fiorella De Cesare and had three children – Letitia, Loretta & Marina
- The Roselli Branch: The youngest child, Lina, married Anthony Roselli and had four children – Agnes, Dominick, Anthony & Lena
As a member of the Memmo branch, my primary focus will be on filling in as much information as possible going back in time regarding our shared grandparents, great-grandparents, etc. on this main site. Information going forward in time regarding the Memmo branch in particular will be posted at https://memmo.roots-and-branches.org/

- Official Records & Primary Sources: Birth, marriage, or immigration certificates, naturalization records, census pages, immigration & passenger logs, land deeds, and wills, etc.
